With respect to the HUD & RESPA, with a single click, The Legal Assistant automatically prepares the HUD-1 Settlement Statement (HUD/RESPA) using the data from your case file greatly reducing the chance of any data inconsistencies.

Calculations are automatically applied including real estate transfer tax, per diem interest, per diem tax credit, and real estate broker fees.

Although the data is automatically populated from the case file, every entry can be manually modified. A history of modifications is built transparently everytime the HUD/RESPA is saved allowing you to easily monitor the progress of the HUD as well as recall retrospective versions.

Distribution of your finished HUD is made simple with The Legal Assistant by allowing you to produce a secure, read-only PDF document which can be e-mailed on to all appropriate parties, be it your client, the attorneys, banks etc with the click of a button.

Unlike nearly every other HUD & RESPA product on the market, the HUD software module within The Real Estate Assistant was developed not as an add-on or a seperate package but rather built right into the case management system of the real estate module. As a lawyer performing real estate closings, this provides you with all the benefits of the core features of The Legal Assistant. For instance, when you print and distribute either by email,fax or hardcopy your prepared HUD form, you will immediately see a read-only PDF formatted version of the HUD form in your case attachments screens.
